TRUSTED ROOT RECOVERY (Application) Publication number: 20230401307 Abstract: A device is provisioned to communicate with a cloud service provider when the device is unable to establish a secure connection due to an invalid root certificate authority (CA) certificate installed at the device. The cloud service provider establishes a temporary non-secure connection between a device recovery service and the device. The device recovery service sends a signed updated root CA certificate to the device. Based on the signed updated root CA certificate, a secure connection is established between the device and operational functions at the cloud service provider. Method of transmitting a packet of digital data over a poly-phase power line affected by impulsive noise (Grant) Patent number: US8542754B2 Abstract: The method transmits a long packet of digital data over a poly-phase power line affected by impulsive noise synchronous with phase voltages. Instead of using very complicated coding schemes, starting from the knowledge of the typical power line scenario, useful information is transmitted where noise synchronous with the main signal is absent. Time-intervals of a known or estimated duration during which the poly-phase power line is affected by impulsive noise are determined, and dummy data during the time-intervals, and useful data during other time-intervals free from impulsive noise, are transmitted.
